Obstacles to sinking HMCS Terra Nova...

Remember 2 years ago the Port of Goderich had all the approvals to sink an artificial shipwreck?

The Town had followed and attained all MNR approvals, 14 in all; including advising 2 Native bands. Two months ahead of the sinking the Natives had no concerns; but ...2 days before the planned sinking celebration Aboriginal groups protested and blocked the sinking.

The ship is still dry docked due to the continuing Native protests and claims. (Believe the reasons were a land claim, Lake Huron, and the sinking is againest beliefs that the waters are spiritual, not for recreation)

Good luck and Merry Christmas to All.
