	Most tourists have no idea how dangerous Thailand is... Meaghan - OW/Teacher February 28, 2007 at 07:56:31 What most people don't realize is how much mass tourism has changed Thailand over the past 10 years or more. Gangs now control tourist areas in Thailand. Phuket is bad, Koh Samui is bad and Pattaya is definitely the worst.  Tourists, especially foreign (farang) women, are usually the victims and it's not just robbery anymore as these murders clearly demonstrate. You have to be very careful where you go and who you talk to.  That's not my idea of a relaxing holiday so I've given up on Thailand.
