Equating 'tourism' with 'conservation' is 'greenwash'...

Yvette Lee's assertion that tourism is the solution to political corruption, mismanagement of coastal resources and unsustainable fishing methods is patently absurd.  In fact, tourism is a major part of the problem because it significantly increases human impact on coastal areas. Only properly managed and policed marine reserves protect coastal ecosystems from all causes of human impact including the tourism and fishing industries, both of which are extremely destructive.
