Wrong again Andrea--WE do not want any buildings on Sipadan...

I just wonder who Andrea Ferrari thinks he represents when he says "We" support government plans to build on Sipadan provided they use "environment-friendly materials like wood."

Maybe local scuba diving businesses want more buildings on Sipadan but I'm sure the international diving community would prefer that the island be returned to its natural state. And we don't need to dive there either.  There are many other excellent dive sites in the area--let the reefs around Sipadan recover.

As for wood being an "environment-friendly" construction material, one of Malaysia's worst environmental problems is the loss of pristine rainforest habitat due to logging.
