Im afraid Im with the Trident guys on ths one. The underwater tree huggers, probaby veggies as well, need to go give their heads a shake. Having been trained by Jamie and Stuart I know first hand just how nuch they respect either war graves or ships of historical interest. For the author to suggest that they would desicrate the Lagarto was also despicable.Has the author ever met these guys? For me it is thanks to the like of these guys that we have several very good wrecks to dive here in the gulf. These guys spend thousands of pounds searching and researching their finds and have given lots of people the chance to experience the thrill of diving a good wreck. Unlike other wreck diving companies they provide not just diving but also a history of the wreck you are diving.

The fact that they SAVE artifacts and occasionaly sell some is of little conseqence. Artifacts from history have been sold since the beginning of archeolgy. As for spoiling it for other divers I have to disagree. there is always something to see even if the bell, telegraph etc have gone. Most of the stuff comes from inside the ship which are unreachable to most divers so that argument falls flat. You wil never stop some types from shouting off about it but dont let them stop you. Keep up the GOOD work !!!!
