September 15, 2008 at 09:17:14There is no viable reason for divers to take part in a two day festival of trying to see how many lobsters they can take and hide from the authorities.
We have 7 months of lobster season to catch all of the lobster a recreational diver can eat. The only ones making money during the week of drunken fighting and reef raping are the local bar owners and motels. I have personally spoken with divers who brag about taking hundreds of lobster during the two days on mini-season. Just say NO to the mini- season . Fewer divers will turn up missing or dead. It is a standing joke in Florida to guess how many will
kill themselves in two days. This a burdon on our Coast Guard, Sheriff's office. and all other law enforcement officers. |
