	PADI Go Pro or PADI Go Broke? Matt W - Instructor / Electrician March 30, 2008 at 19:58:42 I really think PADI Go Broke would be a better title for their dive career training program. PADI made it too easy, too cheap and too fast to get from entry-level diver to instructor. The Go Pro product rewards course directors who smell the easy money and flood the market with dive instructor newbies. At the same time PADI launched their referral program which reduced their network of affiliated dive shops to scuba diving fast food joints all selling exactly the same stuff solely on the basis of price.  Look at what's happening in Thailand and you can see the result.  In places like Phuket, you get hustled on the beach, in the bar and everywhere in between to pay for a scuba course or dive boat trip.
