Go Pro: Contradictory information about dive industry career...

I'm considering becoming an instructor and im getting alot of contradictory information - please help - first... how much does it hurt or help your marketability as an instructor if you are PADI certified vs NAUI or SSI certified ? what im hearing is, PADI is so much more marketable but NAUI and SSI are so much more professional.

And second... I've been told by fairly green divers (which I am too) that Hall's diving center in Marathon, Florida is one of the best in the country (some have said THE BEST) - but I'vve been told by some guys who have been in the business for decades that I shouldnt give them my money because they're overpriced and they keep changing their affiliation (going from PADI to NAUI and even that they improperly claimed to be a YMCA training center a few years ago).

And third ... I'm being told theres no real way to make a living as an instructor - except on the liveaboards, where you'll get burned out quick - or - in the South Pacific, where you'll have all kinds of trouble getting work permits.

Please help - all comments appreciated - thanks.
