	Shark Shield -- Does it really work? Nigel T - AOW/Engineer July 21, 2007 at 00:04:55 What I'm asking is does the Shark Shield actually prevent shark attacks? The Australian manufacturer claims that the device will "deter" sharks, whatever that means, but they also have this disclaimer: "However, it must be remembered that all sharks are dangerous and unpredictable creatures, and therefore a 100% guarantee cannot be given. It is impossible to guarantee that all sharks will be deterred under all circumstances."  I'm not nervous about sharks and don't think I would ever buy one anyway but I'm just curious to know if they really work?
