Sandals guilty of gross negligence--a lawsuit would be a slam dunk...

This is definitely one more case where the waivers are not worth the paper they are printed on.  Even before Sandals failed to collect all of their customers, they were guilty of gross negligence by allowing a "student diver" to dive unsupervised. I think Sandals is a PADI operation but I'm not 100% sure about that. If so, PADI's attorneys would never allow this case to go to court.  It's a slam dunk for the plantiffs and the out-of-court settlement is likely to be huge given the near-death physical condition of the victims when they were found.
