SANDALS HIRING: Basic arithmetic skills not required...

OK, the idiot dive boat grunts at Sandals cannot count past 10 because they can't see their toes inside their booties. And the idiot suits at Sandals corporate headquarters don't know the difference between a dive boat roll call and a hotel wake-up call because they're so damn preoccupied counting the bucks on their "all-inclusive dive for free" schemes.

Well, it wasn't always like this folks.  Before they started selling instructor and divemaster C-cards like T-shirts, the old farts working on dive boats had paid their dues and knew everything about what they were doing from the sound of a properly tuned diesel engine to the expression on the assh*le's face that says "this guy's trouble as soon as he hits the water".

Now we get scuba diving hostesses certified last week at the IDC factory (SUCCESS GUARANTEED!!!) who are paid $50 a day, more or less, to pretend that working on a resort dive boat is actually a real job. The only thing that really surprises me is that more people are not killed or injured by incompetent dive operators..
