As I asked before, "Where was her buddy-was there a buddy"?
Unfortunately a woman diver died after a dive and I am truly sorry. But I feel that it is extremely important to learn just why this incident occured. For example, did she have other medical problems?
According to the CDNN report she was brought to the surface by a Divemaster, revived, promptly taken to a hospital and died three days later. Why?
Did she die of drowning? Was she brain dead when she got to the hospital? Did she suffer a heart attack during the dive? Did she panic? Where was her Buddy? Did she even have a Buddy?
We need to remember this poor woman by learning how to prevent future accidents like this and the only way this can be done is to publish all relevant facts and possible remedies for all divers and professionals alike.
Education, not finger pointing, is the only way to rid our sport of these tragedies. My sympathy is to her family and friends not to some misguided cause.
