Referring to the quote in the CDNN article by Freeman Washington - 5th paragraph..."My home & supermarket are built of masonry and I opened them to everyone who needed emergency shelter" said Tony Zabaneh, chairman of Independence, a town located just north of Big Creek. "More than 400 people were sheltered here when it hit..."We made three trips with a van & pickup to Big Creek...but they refused to get off the boats." (note more than one boat and also the captain of a local Tug boat saw the Dancer go over.. wonder why he did not take shelter - being a man of the sea). Those on board had choices to get off & did not. Maybe the crew were told (not to leave or your fired etc etc) but the divers had choices & sadly obviously made the wrong choice. How many boats where at Big Creek at the time besides the Dancer, Agressor, Tug Boat?? Lots of people made choices that day. It was a disaster but fault is where you see it. I'll sign the waiver and if anything goes wrong I'll get an attorney.
