Why did Wave Dancer go straight into the path of the hurricane?...

I wonder too, why the Wave Dancer went straight into the path of the hurricane when today's weather reports are so accurate. Iris had been going straight west for a few days before landfall. But there was another live-aboard tied up at Big Creek and nothing happened to it???  Also, the communities of Big Creek and Placencia were leveled by the winds, so would they have been safer on land?  The best thing to do is to put the boat in a safe port, i.e. travel away from the hurricane and forget about getting in some more dives to keep the customers happy.
