I don't agree with "it's someone else's fault"...

Continuing the converation - Greg Storey's reply - been on liveaboards all over the world - going to Palau - who are some of the other liveaboards with better operations than PH? They all have their warts so research them carefully as you can't get better than PH.
Your experience with two inexperienced divers aborting dive - rest of divers did dive, was this a no current - no drift dive trip? No Captain can guarantee no current and many dives you can't tell which way current is going. Wrong time of day certainly could be a tide chart problem but the Dive Master in the water should still make that call with the individual diver having that final responsibility. Sounds to me like they did take responsibility by aborting the dive.
My prior did not say "close down diving during the hurricane season". I feel I will chose to dive that part of the world in non-hurricane season and dive a different part of the world in hurricane season. If you choose to dive in hurricane season then let's blame it on the dive operation if something happens. Oops we signed a waiver that we take responsibility ourselves.
Wave Dancer was a disaster but still no attorney's in my family and while PH obviously had some responsibility I do not agree with "all the piling on" and all the "its someone else's fault - anyone else but me" attitude. Happy drift diving in Palau!
