It's sad that divers blame those who died on the Wave Dancer...

My husband, Ray, was killed on the Wave Dancer. I have a couple comments about the so-called settlement, and I use the term settlement very loosely. First, it is not surprising that Peter Hughes was on an expedition to the Galapagos Islands and could not be reached for comment. How convenient. Since he is losing nothing, and his business is still running, I am not surprised. Second, let us not forget Captain Phillip Martin of the Wave Dancer, who supposedly resigned his post with Peter Hughes Diving shortly after the disaster. He and his second captain abandoned their passengers and crew to die, while they were in a life boat. It is so very sad that divers are still willing to book trips aboard Peter Hughes, and blame the passengers who would go during hurricane season. Lastly, as the first anniversary of this unbelievable tragedy approaches, the pain of loss is only intensified, helped along by the callousness of Mr. Hughes and his apologists.
