My dive club voted not to book trips on Peter Hughes's boats...

I am a member of a dive club for scuba diving employees of a large multinational company. There are over 350 active dive travelers in the club and we organize several live-aboard trips every year.  Recently, club members were asked to vote on various issues including whether we should continue diving aboard boats operated by Peter Hughes.

After reviewing details of the Wave Dancer tragedy and especially the business-as-usual conduct of the Peter Hughes company after the tragic deaths of 20 divers and crew, our members voted against diving on Peter Hughes's Dancer boats by a 4 to 1 margin.  The consensus opinion was that Hughes cannot be trusted to adequately protect and safeguard the lives of our dive club members.
