	DAN's emergency "medical" hotline almost killed my buddy... Paul G - Divemaster/Landscape Architect January 16, 2004 at 22:15:37 I would never give DAN one penny--not after they almost killed my friend.  DAN completely messed up the emergency response because they didn't have a clue about medical evacuation where we were diving. Fortunately, the local dive op was on top of it and they got a helicopter to us in time.  DAN said there was no helicopter evacuation available, a mistake that almost killed my friend. Moral of the story?  Don't wast your money on DAN scams. If you can't trust the dive op to handle an emergency, you're diving with the wrong people.
