"Teaching updates facilitate learning styles, blah blah blah"--What?????...

Rob - PADI Instructor/Dive Op Staff

What on earth do "teaching updates" and "learning styles" have to do with the problem of certification agencies dumbing down entry level courses. The PADI Scuba Diver course does not provide adequate training to novice divers.

Proof? If you have that card and nothing else, you have to be supervised (whatever that means).  As Cyber Diver has correctly pointed out, supervision is no substitute for adequate training. Neither are "teaching updates"!!!
