Is PADI brainwashing?...

I've posted on this very subject before, but with little responce, now expert witnesses in coreners courts are making the same point.

So now its gonna be official, PADI Training is INADEQUATE, particularly for UK Waters and AND the title Advanced Open Water is not only misleading but down right dangerous. Don't give me the usual PADI argument about speciality courses being required, thats nonsence and misleading. Teach a Diver to be capable for the Diving the are going to do.  That means in the UK teaching air calculations, drysuit use etc etc.

The bottom line is that PADI sells a comodity, it could be used cars or double glazing, but happens to be Diver training.  It has one interest and that is making money. Throw your snorkel away cos its about as much use to a Diver as PADI Training!
