DEMA overreached. Now every time somebody dies scuba diving, inadequate diver training programs will be blamed for the death. Reading the severe criticisms of PADI at the UK inquest into diver deaths leaves me with the distinct impression the powers that be have already decided to step in and regulate a dive industry that has repeatedly compromised diver safety to increase dive shop profits. |
