	NAUI's Skin Diver certification is irrelevant to this discussion... Daniel B - Master Scuba Diver/Writer April 4, 2006 at 12:16:33 The NAUI Skin Diver course does not involve the use of SCUBA or what CDNN describes as "underwater life support equipment" nor does it require participants to be supervised after completing the training. Therefore, it is not relevant to this discussion. To date, NAUI has rejected the notion that supervision can substitute for adequate training.  They should be commended for not following PADI down into the murky marketing depths of instant 'put another dollar in' gratification. Unlike NAUI, SSI did jump on the "less training equals more bucks" bandwagon with the Passport Diver quickie course, which also substitutes supervision for adequate training.
