	PADI courses are way too short for safe all round diving... When I started teaching divers we took 2 full weeks thats evenings plus Wednesdays or 5-6 full days. People don't get the confidence in new short courses--maybe they get it when they come back for ongoing training but not a great many go on with further training. What is good is an environment that keeps divers diving safely and doesn't cost them sheep stations. What I have seen of PADI courses is that they are way too short for safe all round diving.
