Never buddy with a PADI Scuba Diver if you value your life...

Just back from the Caribbean where I was the "lucky" diver forced to buddy with a PADI Scuba Diver (didn't know it until after the dive). I will never do that again.  The guy damn near killed me at 28 meters when he panicked and took off for the surface like a rocket. That's right--28 meters. Some of you commented that nobody pays any attention to "recommended" depth limits--well, you're right about that.
