The question for those of us who care about dive safety is what constitutes minimum training standards for entry-level divers who are only given "recommended" limits. For me at least, the PADI Scuba Diver is definitely an entry-level diving course but it fails to give students adequate training for the real world diving they will be doing.  That's the problem. If the limits were required rather than recommended, I might be more comfortable with the course. As it stands now, I won't teach it and I won't get involved in supervision of divers who did the "Scuba Diver" course.
