I do disagree with any 'watering down' of PADI courses...

Lets face it, they are literally a course, to get better we must practice. I've had 1300 dives and look at 'novice' divers not being aware of things that they should - current, depth, surroundings. These things take time to become accustomed. There is no way that a class room course will provide that - AND thats not whats intended. I do disagree with any watering down of the PADI course - my view is that it provides the bare minimum and yet provides the bare essentials to provide a start for divers - that's all thats intended.
