No one can be properly trained in less than four days...

Dale A. Davis - PADI Instructor #10743
March 24, 2001 17:46:27

I have been a PADI instructor since 1979 as well as a certified commercial diver.  Additionally, I owned and operated a Scuba Store for four years. Many times I refused to teach the so-called 3-day PADI certification courses because I have always felt that no person could be properly trained to scuba dive safely in just three days.  My competitors, however, would teach the short course for the sake of marketing to new customers.  I am still an active instructor and still refuse to try to teach anyone to dive in three days.
