How much supervision depends on experience...

I thought PADI is quite clear when they say that the certification card is not enough - you also need to look at a person's log book.  It is then up to the individual divemaster/instructor to make a judgement call as to how much supervision that person needs. You can have a Master Scuba Diver who has obtained his/her accreditation in three months and has not been diving for the last six months.  In my opinion such a person will certainly require more supervision than someone who has only done his advanced course but has been diving every week for the last six months.  I believe that same applies to the Scuba Diver course, namely that it will be up to the divemaster or instructor to decide how much supervision such a person requires and indeed if they wish to even supervise this person.
