Instructors need to emphasize scuba diving safety...

Both my son,who is disabled with spina bifida, and I completed the PADI Scuba Diver course in Tenerife during Easter.  We then returned in November to have some more skills practice. With only a one-week holiday, the four days to complete Open Water was too much, so we did two extra fun/training dives with our instructor and with home study completed the final exam.  It is a great way to start as long as the instructor highlights the shortfalls in your training and instills the ethic of safety and the need to continue training and skill development.
