into administration in his charge. The BBC made a weekly documentary programme at the time.
Professional divers were appalled by the state of the equipment and the training standards. Many of the divers, however, did go on to gain successful employment in the industry. His name is well-known in the professional diving industry worldwide and, rightly or wrongly, it is synonymous with "dodgy dealing".
