	Of course Koh Lanta is better than Phuket but... Hendrik - OW / Traveler February 9, 2009 at 22:26:31 Koh Lanta is like Phuket 10 or 15 years ago before it got crowded and overpriced.  But what you really want is Koh Lanta 10 or 15 years ago before it started to get developed and touristy.  You can find beautiful islands that are unknown to tourists but not in Thailand.  That's all I can give you in the way of a tip because when you do find your slice of paradise, the only way to protect it is to keep it a secret.
