I would not recommend Tobago to anyone...

About 8 years ago traveled to Tobago and dove for a week.  Found the Orincon river from South America dumps in the ocean resulting in the first 50 feet of pea soup when you dive, yes no vis for 50 feet. Travel books seem to not mention this fact. Boat operaters just through the gear in the boat (no set up or room to) and off you went. Dove London Bridge where the current was so bad many of us aborted the dive. Some who did had water backing up in their regulators from the current. Final straw was CDC recommended yellow fever shots before going to Tobago. After all of the above I would not recommend Tobago to any one. Yea do your research and you will find much better places to dive.
