Janice, I completely agree with you that non-profits have no business selling annual scuba diving accident reports. But don't worry about it.  DAN's annual report on decompression sickness and scuba diving fatalities is a con job that actually distorts and covers up the true extent of scuba diving accidents around the world.  DAN's annual accident reports are just a tiny fraction of the global scuba diving accidents because the various DAN companies around the world "own" the scuba diving fatalities and injuries in their respective territories.  Therefore, they also own the right to sell reports about those accidents.
