	Earth will heal again once we are gone... Cindy Mesteller - Recreational Diver March 2, 2001  09:57:23 I am convinced that our most successful act as a species will be to 'develop' ourselves right into extinction. When I start to  feel dismayed and helpless about the damage we do to our planet, I simply remember that human existence is only a blink in evolutionary time.  The earth has recovered from mass species extinctions in the past, and will heal again once we are gone.
