comparing scuba diving to golf? That's like comparing jogging to watching TV. When people have heart attacks sitting in a golf cart or on a sofa, we do not blame the golf cart or the sofa--we assume their time was up. But when people die jogging or scuba diving, we focus on the activity as the primary cause of the accident. In such cases it is reasonable to assume that had the victim not been jogging or scuba diving, they might have lived for many, many more years. |
