BSAC's pub culture is killing divers...

Most divers understand that alcohol and scuba diving do not mix. At PADI, NAUI, SSI, GUE, IANTD, TDI, CMAS and YMCA, scuba diving usually revolves around the classroom, professional dive center and of course dive sites--not the local bar.  But BSAC training and non-training diving activities often revolve around pubs (and heavy drinking according to friends in the UK). Maybe that's why BSAC divers have such a high accident rate.  (note to BSAC: There are no questions related to alcohol consumption and/or alcohol abuse in your 4-page accident report form yet it is a known fact that alcohol is a contributing factor to decompression sickness and that BSAC members often gather at pubs prior to and immediately after diving.  Please rectify this glaring ommission at your earliest convenience.)
