You are not fooling anybody but yourself Lucas...

Re: "...it's not unreasonble to assume that you were actually offering some kind of offical specialty" Lucas Cornone

Wrong again Lucas. It is unreasonable to make such assumptions but lacking reason is the least of your failings. Your anti-PADI rant resembles the prejudice and stupidity of racists who blame (fill in the blank) for all of their own failings.

It has already been pointed out in this forum that BSAC has steadily declined while all other certification agencies have experienced unprecedented growth, and that BSAC accident reports fail to give divers a global perspective on scuba diving safety.  Your response is to snarl and spit at PADI, and huff and puff about BSAC supremacy, but you are not fooling anyone but yourself, Lesley Clark, Hilary Lyon, Carmina Beer and the many other BSAC divers who died young thanks to the British Sub-Aqua Club and its "superior" cold-water training system.

On a personal note, I may be many things Lucas but I'm neither stupid nor inarticulate.  I have no intention of offering you anything in the way of scuba diving instruction but should I change my mind, I will do so in no uncertain terms.  And if I decide to refer specifically to a BSAC fatality, I will make it easy for you and name the person who died (see previous paragraph).

In the meantime, you need to understand that a semi-dry suit does not cut it for ice diving. Neither does getting wasted at the local pub the night before your training dives. If that's too difficult for you, I will be happy to connect the dots.
