WARNING: The water is different in Bonaire...

Well here in Bonaire we've had all kinds of trouble with BSAC divers.  They often panic for two reasons mainly.  First, when they see something alive in the water that's non-human they are just absolutely terrified.  And they also get completely disoriented when the visibility is more than a few meters.  Just like Dave, we've found that the PADI orientation dive is the best solution. If all else fails, we haul them out to the island's garbage dump where there is a deep dirty pit filled with sewage-polluted water, wrecked cars and rusty home appliances. Makes them feel just like they're back home diving in the UK!
