10 years. Yet during the same interval when millions of people learned to dive and when BSAC's membership should have at least doubled to more than 100,000, the organization suffered a severe decline from an all-time high of 52,364 in 1995 to only 37,185 in 2005. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to understand what those numbers mean and conclude that BSAC's nationalism theme ("the water is different in the UK, etc") has been a colossal failure everywhere including the UK. |
