Different locations, different water? PADI thinks so...

An excerpt that a PADI student will need to sign from the "PADI student statement" - Twice for an Open Water Course and once again for every other course taken.

"..... I am adequately prepared to dive in AREAS AND UNDER CONDITIONS SIMILAR TO THOSE IN WHICH I TRAINED. I realize that ADDITIONAL TRAINING IS REQUIRED FOR participation in specialty diving, ACTIVITIES, IN OTHER GEOGRAPHIC AREAS ....."

Even with my poor BSAC vocabulary it would seem to me that things might just be different in different parts of the world.

Perhaps it's a surprise to Padi students to hear of such things, even through they have signed a statement to that effect. Maybe BSAC's lawyers (or should that be attorneys) don't need a student to sign so many disclaimers in case an INCIDENT arises.
