BSAC has been compiling its annual report for many years now and it is published globally and available for anybody to read, discuss and analyize.  If stats were collated on an international scale they would then become meaningless. After all it is foolish to compare diving in the Red Sea or Florida with the UK,  The training, equipment and skill levels required are very different.  It would be like asking the Californian Police department to base its saftey strategy on car accidents in Bombay.
