It is foolish to speculate about Tina Watson's death...

There is more to the eye here. Until all the facts come to light, it is foolish to speculate based on your evidence.  Taking in just the facts from the news report, it seems like an accident.  But I'm sure there is much more to the story than is being reported.

Mark M, it seems like you are blaming the victim.  Gabe did not do the right thing -- with his level of experience, he was the one who should have discouraged the dive or cancelled the dive -- I wouldn't let anyone I cared about do something I knew could get them killed. Also, you take a possibility (nitrogen narcosis), and seem to make it into a probability -- that it did happen, and keep speculating about things without having any solid evidence.  Gabe, judging by the pictures, is not lean -- possibly quite overweight -- certainly heavier than his wife.

Next thing, the article stated that visibility was excellent, which would tell me that they weren't down too far.  She then sank to 28m. Gabe also made remarks that don't add up, malfunctioning computer, ear problems, on and on...then there is the life insurance policy changed 11 days before this happened apparently...
