I agree 300% about not tipping...

I agree 300%. Tipping varies in different parts of the world. In some places it is not an accepted custom. I am not comfortable with the idea that clients come in and bring in their "own ways" to these workers. How one tips establishes a ground for the next tipper. I know as a whole, the workers are paid poorly as far as our standards go and relying on the generousity of the clients that have already paid big bucks just doesn't sit right with me. Many times a shared personal possession means more to them than money - like a pair of fins or a mask or a jack knive or a cd or a book. This MONEY thing often gets in the way and can spoil the whole experience for us that travel many miles to not only experience the new things in the water but also love the worlds of the local people we meet. The trip price should include a tip and the tip should make it to the workers.
