SCUBA DIVING :: FORUMS :: NEWS :: ALLIGATOR ATTACK

The police said the alligator attack victim was 'diving'...

Don't be foolish Lucas.  Referring to the article, the issue is not whether snorkeling necessarily encompasses diving activities, but whether snorkeling necessarily excludes diving activities.

From the article:  "Local police told CDNN that Bill Hedden, 59, of Summerville, was diving at Lake Moultrie near Short Stay Naval Recreational Park when the alligator attacked." So the headline -- "Alligator bites off diver's arm" -- is correct.  Dan's error is to equate diving with SCUBA.

I don't think a real dive instructor would ever make that mistake. Dan's a pretender. Your problem is different.  You're just a silly bore.

What I would really like to know is how Mr. Hedden is doing. Does anyone know if the doctors were able to reattach his arm?
