Wayne Hasson has been less than honest about Aggressor deaths...Gari Sisk - DivemasterMay 31, 2003 at 01:56:25I chartered the Belize Aggressor in Jan 2002, and we had a problem with the Captain and
some of the crew on the boat. Upon our return to the US, I contacted Wayne Hasson, however, he was less than receptive to the comments we made as a group specifically in regards to safety. A year later (January 2003) we were on the Kona Aggressor (I do feel that safety WAS a priority on the Kona boat), and lost a diver (using a closed circuit rebreather) who did not surface after a dive, and has now been declared deceased, even though his body has never been
found. Yet after the recent Aggressor accident at Cocos Island, Wayne Hasson said it was the first time this had happened in the history of the Aggressor fleet. I do believe that Wayne Hasson has been less than honest, and does not consider safety his first priority. The loss we incurred in Kona was devastating to the group, the crew, the land based office staff, and the family of the diver.
My heart aches for those people that were on the boat during such a devastating event, as well as to the crew, the rescue people who searched without success, and most of all, to the families of those divers who did not surface. - Post a follow-up to this message
