Sad loss at 40 Fathom Grotto...Shar - Instructor / Analyst

I am certain the authorities will investigate and find out what caused this tragic accident. Been in Forty Fathom many times and it is NOT for everyone. It is also not open to the public and has limited use for specific purposes. It is an expert technical training site for mixed gas diving and is very, very deep with the bottom at 240 feet. As far as safety is concerned, the people that operate 40 Fathom are the best of the best based on the services they provide. I truly hope this will not discourage anyone from going to the Grotto for expert technical training. All of us in the local scuba community are awaiting the final report of what happened so that we may all learn from this. Again, my sincerest sympathy to the family. We are all saddened by the loss of a fellow diver any time it occurs.
